The concept of needle roller bearings
Needle roller bearings (needle bearing) are roller bearing with cylindrical rollers, and the rollers are thin and long relative to their diameters. This roller is called the needle roller. Despite having a smaller cross-section, the bearing still has a higher load tolerance, needle roller bearings are fitted with thin and long rollers (roller diameter d≤5mm, l/d≥2.5, L for roller length), so the radial structure is compact, the diameter and load capacity are the same as other types of bearings, the outer diameter is the smallest, especially suitable for the support structure with limited radial mounting dimensions.
Depending on the use of the situation, you can choose the bearing or needle roller and cage assembly without inner ring, at this time, the bearings matching the surface of the axle neck and the shell hole directly as the bearing of the internal and external rolling surface, in order to ensure the load capacity and running performance with the same ring bearing, shaft or shell hole raceway surface hardness, machining accuracy and surface quality should be similar to the bearing rings raceway. The bearings are only capable of withstanding radial loads.
